I received a bill from UPS for some merchandise I ordered from eBay about three weeks ago. I originally paid all postage through the website, received the items, then a week later I got a bill for $10 (for "brokerage charges"). I, of course, am disputing the charge. I never formed a contract with UPS for the delivery of items - the seller did!

But it made me think about owing debts that we did not incur. Just by ordering something on the internet, I found a company that is insisting that I owe them some money. "That's not fair!" says my head.

But my heart harkens back to the doctrine of original sin - the inhereted sin nature we inherit because we are born of Adam and Eve - our ultimate parents. Then I thought of this super-helpful video that addresses what happens to infants who have original sin, but have not committed conscious sin. I even had this question asked of me last week.

I hope this video helps you make sense of this issue, from a very trusted source!
