Here, in Lenten season, we are prone to be asked the question: "Why Christianity?" Or better yet: "Why the Bible?" Perhaps: "What is the Bible all about?"

The Bible is the most unique written book in history because it is not merely a book. It is the Word of the creator, given to us, passed down by the saints through the ages. It tells of one thing - God's love for me (and God's love for you).

What other book, begun in antiquity, written by forty different authors, read across 66 different books, penned over centuries, is a word that is written to you, the person reading these words. Only the Bible.

What is its grand theme? It is a revelation of our creator about how to have our sin forgiven, and how we can have peace with the God of the universe.

So if anyone asks the question, you can confidently reply that the Bible is God speaking to you about how you can be free from the sin problem that resides within.
