Archaeologists discovered a trove of papyri in Egypt over 100 years ago. Those fragments had lain in a box at Oxford until 2022, when it was finally read by a researcher. The analysis uncovered that this fragment contained the earliest known written Christian hymn - probably dated in the mid 200's. 

Chris Tomlin and a couple others collaborated to take this ancient fragment and transform it into a modern song of worship. The video is below, and the story of the discovery/transformation can be found by clicking
