Since we talked about satisfaction (Mark 6:42-43) last Sunday, I was pleasantly suprised to see this article on the issue of dissatisfaction. 

Dissatisfaction, like hunger, is not a bad thing by itself. Hunger tells your body that it may be time to eat. It is a normal biological survival process. I always laugh when I see fundraisers that want to "eliminate hunger." No! We actually need hunger - it is a good thing! 

So, too, do we need dissatisfaction. It is a longing for satisfaction. This world offers many types of temporary satisfactions, but they are all fleeting (see the entire book of Ecclesiastes). However, that longing should lead us to seek lasting satisfaction - a thing that is only found in Jesus!
