Our church is great at hospitality - from foster parents, to adoptive parents, to outreach efforts in the neighborhood, to the sacrificial ways we care for the struggling families inside and outside of our congregation. As great as we are, we can always look for ways to share the gospel through hospitality through increasingly creative ways.
As much hospitality is shown by some in the house of God, more of His family can step up and show radical hospitality. If you have not stepped out in faith by showing hospitality, I pray that this introduction encourages you to take that step. More laborers are needed!
Rosaria Butterfield, author of the book, The Gospel Comes With A Housekey, gives a breakdown of what hospitality looks like for each church member. It is a standard that each we all should strive to attain - an emptying of self for the sake of the Gospel's spread to others around us.
